Cookie Policy.
This page explains what cookies and similar storage FLASHFRAME uses, what they are for, and how you can change your choices.
Strictly necessary storage
FLASHFRAME stores a small amount of data in your browser to make the tools work — for example, remembering the last filter you used, the current photo strip draft, and basic UI preferences. This data lives in your browser's localStorage and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time from your browser's site data settings.
Consent storage
When advertising-related consent is required (for example, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland), we use a certified consent management platform provided through Google's Privacy & Messaging service. Your consent choices are stored locally so you don't see the prompt every time you visit.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
Editorial pages on FLASHFRAME — the homepage, the About page and the Guides section — carry advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may place cookies and similar identifiers on your device for purposes such as:
- Measuring ad performance.
- Limiting how often you see the same ad.
- Detecting invalid or fraudulent clicks.
- Showing personalized advertising based on your prior visits to this and other websites, where you have consented or where personalization is permitted by law.
Where personalization requires consent and you have not granted it, only non-personalized ads are shown. You can read Google's own description of these cookies in the Google Privacy & Terms — How Google uses information from sites that use our services page.
Tool and capture pages do not load ads
Tool routes (photobooth, Polaroid, Instax, collage, templates, print, story, GIF, capture, edit, preview and export flows) and legal/contact pages do not load the AdSense script or any advertising cookies. The advertising cookies above are only set on editorial pages where ad units are present.
Analytics
We may use privacy-friendly analytics to count visits per page and understand which tools are most used. These analytics do not identify you personally and do not follow you across other websites. If they set cookies at all, those cookies are first-party and short-lived.
Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your advertising consent at any time:
- Use the link on this page or in the footer. This reopens the consent prompt.
- Clear FLASHFRAME's site data from your browser settings to remove stored consent and preferences.
- Opt out of personalized advertising across Google products at google.com/settings/ads.
