Privacy Policy.
FLASHFRAME ("we", "us") is an online photobooth that runs entirely in your browser. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit flashframe.app and use the camera, filters and export tools.
Your photos stay on your device
Every photo you take with FLASHFRAME is captured, filtered and exported locally in your browser. We do not upload, store, transmit or back up your images on any server. When you close the tab, the photos are gone unless you saved or shared them yourself.
Camera and storage access
We request access to your device camera only to show the live preview and capture frames. We may use your browser's local storage to remember small preferences (selected filter, last shoot draft). This data never leaves your device.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand how many people visit each page and which features are used. These analytics do not identify you personally and do not track you across other websites.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
FLASHFRAME is partly supported by ads served through Google AdSense on editorial pages — the homepage, the About page and the Guides section. Tool pages, capture and export flows, legal pages and the contact page do not load the advertising script and do not display ads.
Where ads are shown, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to measure ad performance, prevent fraud, cap how often you see the same ad, and — where you have consented or where it is otherwise lawful — show personalized advertising based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can read Google's own description in the Google Privacy & Terms page, and you can opt out of personalized advertising across Google products at google.com/settings/ads.
Consent and your choices (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we use a certified consent management platform delivered through Google's Privacy & Messaging service. Before personalized advertising cookies are set, you are asked to consent or to manage your choices. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by using the "Privacy choices" link in the site footer, which reopens the consent prompt.
Before consent is granted (or where consent is refused), only non-personalized advertising and strictly necessary storage are used.
Cookies and local storage
We use a minimal set of cookies and similar storage for:
- Remembering your filter and frame preferences (browser localStorage, first-party).
- Storing your advertising consent choices (via the consent management platform).
- Measuring anonymous, aggregate site usage.
- Serving ads through Google AdSense on editorial pages only.
See the dedicated Cookie Policy for a more detailed breakdown.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider may temporarily record standard technical information about each request (IP address, user-agent string, timestamp, requested URL) for security, abuse prevention and basic operational diagnostics. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors and are retained for a limited period.
Children
FLASHFRAME is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not maintain user accounts or store your photos, there is generally no personal data for us to access, correct or delete. If you have a specific request, write to us at hi@flashframe.app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
