FLASHFRAME is a free, browser-based photography toolkit. It runs entirely in your browser — photobooth, Polaroid maker, Instax maker, collage tool, photo strip exporter and Print Lab — without an account, an app to download, or a server uploading your photos.
The project is built and maintained by Lucas Sá, an independent designer-developer. It started as an attempt to put the feel of an old-school photobooth on any device with a webcam, and grew into a small kit of tools for capturing, editing, exporting and printing photos with a film-style look.
What FLASHFRAME does
Every tool on the site runs on the device the page is loaded on. Camera frames, filters, stamps, exports and prints are all produced locally in the browser. Nothing about your photos — the raw frames, the captured strips or the final exports — is sent to any server we operate.
The toolkit currently includes:
- Photobooth camera with 18+ film-style filters and burst-mode strips.
- Polaroid maker for classic square instant-style cards.
- Instax maker for Mini, Square and Wide formats.
- Collage tool for multi-photo layouts.
- Print Lab for print-ready 10×15 cm exports at 300 DPI.
- Story and GIF exports tuned for Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp.
How it stays free
FLASHFRAME is supported by a small number of advertising slots on editorial pages — the homepage, the About page and the Guides section — and by optional contributions through Buy Me a Coffee. Tool pages, capture flows, export screens and legal pages never carry ads. We rely on Google AdSense for advertising; you can read about how that affects your data in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
A note on brand references
Some filter and tool names reference classic cameras, films and instant-photo formats (Polaroid, Fujifilm Instax, various Kodak and Fuji film stocks). FLASHFRAME has no affiliation with any of those brands. The references describe the visual style we are inspired by; the filters themselves are our own implementations, built from scratch to run in a browser in real time.
